Pastoral care worker

We are excited to welcome Emma Clarke who will be taking on the Pastoral Care worker role at Warradale. Emma will be working in classes for the remainder of this term so she can establish relationships with staff and students. Emma will share a personal letter of introduction next week, but her days of work will be Mondays and Wednesdays. Please make her feel welcome.

Attendance / late arrivals

Please communicate with your children that if they arrive at school after 8.50am, they need to enter and sign in through the front office. All other entry points to the school are now being secured between 8.50am and 3.00pm. We are currently in the process of setting up an electronic sign-in to assist administration staff, students and families with this process Also note, if your child/ren is absent or late for more than 10 days in a term you will receive a formal alert notice via email.

Teaching and learning

We are continuing to ask students across our school the following three questions:
What are we learning?
Why are we learning it?
How will we know if we are successful in this learning?
As outlined in our 2020 site improvement plan, teachers and students are focusing on goal setting and next steps to help drive individual improvement in Writing, Reading and Mathematics. Our staff improvement teams will be spending some time this Tuesday discussing and planning strategic actions across our priority areas for Term 3.
We encourage all parents and caregivers to make time for conversations with their children about at-school learning. Through the continued development of Seesaw as a sharing, feedback and class-home communication platform, we hope parents/caregivers will become more informed and better able to engage in authentic dialogue about learning.
